After the nationalization of 1948, the old Ford factory in Floreasca seemed to find no meaning. Until 1960, it changed its activity object and name three times. On February 18, 1960, the Council of Ministers decided to set up the Automatica, part of a larger plan to increase exports and automate industrial processes. The new factory would be housed by the former Ford plant.<\/p>

Romania at that time hardly recovered after the war and the payment of debts. In 1959 the total GDP amounted to 39.8 billion USD ppc 2000, GDP \/ inhabitant to 2410 USD ppc 2000, and 81.2% of the employed population worked in agriculture [1]<\/span>.<\/p>

Thus, Automatica strats its pioneering in the process of forced industrialization, in the communist world separated from the western technology. In that hostile world, generations of skilled engineers and technicians have invented and built complex automation systems for industry, energy or transportation. The delivered equipment has proven its reliability in decades of operation.<\/p>

Regardless of the political regime, it was the people who brought value to the organization. From generation to generation the passion for innovation was transmitted, the responsibility for the good work done, the ambition to be among the best. With these inherited values, Automatica looks to the future, ready to face the new technological challenges.<\/p>

Today, Automatica it is more than an equipment provider. Starting with the correct identification of needs and future developmental hypotheses, continuing with design, production, on site operations, predictive, preventive and reactive maintenance, retrofit and upgrade solutions, to decommissioning \u2013 Automatica has concentrated decades of experience in procedures, consolidating itself as a reliable partner in the long run.<\/p>
